Every video game. Every Elon Musk tweet about atmospheric engineering. Pantropy got filed in a drawer labeled &ldquo;body horror&rdquo; where it has been sitting since the Eisenhower administration.</p> <p>Terraforming melts ice caps. Builds atmospheres. Generates magnetic fields. Centuries of planetary engineering that may not be physically possible in this solar system regardless of budget. Pantropy edits genes. Augments with cybernetics. Transfers consciousness into purpose-built bodies. Works anywhere. Starts immediately. Requires admitting that the human body is not the optimal configuration of matter for any environment outside the one it happened to evolve in.</p>
